About the event
Vermicomposting is a quick and easy way to compost indoors by using red wiggler worms to turn kitchen scraps into a rich soil amendment called worm castings. This workshop will teach you the basics of vermicomposting, and how to assemble and take care of your very own worm composting bin! Supplies to create the worm bins will be provided only to those who attend the workshop in person.
The first 45 minutes of the workshop will consist of a powerpoint presentation and a quick outline of how we'll build the bins, followed by a demonstration and time left over to construct the bins (in-person only).
